Ní féidir a sheanadh go bhfuil sé thar a bheith tábhachtach an Ghaeilge bheith feiceálach i ngach réimse den tsaol. Tóg mar shampla, ar chomharthaí i mbailte, ar chomharthaí bóithre nó sna siopaí. Sa lá atá inniu ann, tá an-éileamh ann don Ghaeilge a bheith ar fáil do dhaoine ag gach leibhéal, ó chainteoirí dúchasacha go daoine nach bhfuil ach cúpla focal Gaeilge acu. Leis sin, tá méadú ar líon na gcomhlachtaí agus n-eagraíochtaí atá ag iarraidh tuilleadh Gaeilge a úsáid agus níos mó seirbhísí tríd an Ghaeilge a chur ar fáil don phobal Gaelach.

Cuireann an scéim béim ar leith ar trí chatagóir - Comharthaíocht, Brandáil agus Margaíocht, agus Seirbhís Gaeilge do Chustaiméirí agus Cliant.

Cuireann GRADAIM tacaíocht ar fáil do ghnólachtaí maidir le comhairle, liosta aistritheoirí, achmhainní Gaeilge saor in aisce, bileoga, foclóirí agus téarmaíochta, bainithe glórphoist agus níos mó!

GRADAIM – Does your company use Irish?

Did you know that 76% of the population in the north are in favour, or strongly in favour, of buying a product in the future that uses Irish, according to Amárach Research 2014?

It can’t be denied that it is extremely important for Irish to be seen in every aspect of life. Take for example, on road signs or in shops. These days, there is a great demand for Irish to be available to people at every level, from native speakers to the people that only have a few words of Irish, With that, there is an increase in the number of companies and organisations that want to use more Irish and make more services available through Irish for the Irish community.

GRADAIM is a recognition scheme with the Irish language organisation, Glór nan Gael. It is their aim to encourage companies to use more Irish and to make more services available to their customers through Irish.

The scheme puts emphasis on three categories – Signage, Branding and Marketing, and Irish Language Services for Customers and Clients.

GRADAIM makes support available for companies in regards to advice, lists of translators, free Irish language resources, leaflets, dictionaries and terminology, email greetings and more!

Young Entrepreneur of the Year is part of the GRADAIM scheme also. Two particular awards are given during the awards ceremony 2022 to two young people that highlight a talent for entrepreneurship with Irish. There are two groups, Ages 12-18 and Ages 18-21.

There are three types of awards awarded to companies depending on the amount that they have achieved – Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
