Maisigh na fuinneoga do Sheachtain na Gaeilge!

Updated: Mar 4

Tá Líonra Leitir Ceanainn agus Cumann Trádála Leitir Ceanainn ag thabhairt cuireadh do ghnólachtaí an bhaile páirt a ghlacadh i gcomórtas chun an Ghaeilge a cheiliúradh le linn Sheachtain na Gaeilge 2021. Tá muid ag iarraidh ar an lucht gnó fuinneoga a gcuid siopaí agus gnólachtaí a mhaisiú agus ‘An Ghaeilge a Cheiliúradh’ mar théama acu. Tá acmhainní teanga ar fáil thíos ó Líonra Leitir Ceanainn – nathanna cainte, seanfhocail srl – agus beidh an Comhordaitheoir Pleanála Teanga ar fáil chun cuidiú agus tacaíocht ar bith a sholáthar dá mbeadh gá leis. Beidh buiséad fógraíochta €500 ó Highland Radio agus dearbhán €100 mar dhuais don taispeántas is fearr, roghnaithe ag moltóir neamhspleách. Beidh muid ag iarraidh ar an lucht gnó grianghraif na dtaispeántas a roinnt ar a gcuntas meáin shóisialta féin leis na haischlibeanna #LíonraLC #LeitirCeanainnGanDabht #HastobeLetterkenny Beidh deis ag an phobal vótaí a chaitheamh don taispeántas is ansa leo. Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce and Líonra Leitir Ceanainn are inviting businesses in the town to take part in a competition to celebrate the Irish language during Seachtain na Gaeilge 1 – 17 March. We are asking the business community to decorate the windows of their shops and businesses based on the theme ‘Celebrating the Irish Language’. Líonra Leitir Ceanainn has made language resources such as common expressions and proverbs available (see the pdf above)

and the Irish Language Development Coordinator will be on hand to provide any support and assistance needed. There will be a €500 advertising budget from Highland Radio and a €100 voucher for the best display, judged by an independent adjudicator. We would also inviting the businesses to share pictures of their display on their social media with the hashtags #LíonraLC #LeitirCeanainnGanDabht and #HastobeLetterkenny The public will then have an opportunity to vote for the display they like best.
