ANOCHT - Club Leabhar an Iarthuaiscirt & Club Leabhar

Tá go leor ar siúl againn anocht le dhá imeacht ag tarlú!

Beidh Club Leabhar an Iarthuaiscirt ar siúl ar dtús i Músaem an Chontae Leitir Ceanainn ar 7.30 i.n. leis an leabhar 'Go mbeinnse Choíche Saor' le Máire Dinny Wren.

Tá an leabhar bunaithe ar scéalta faoi mna atá ag streachailt in aghaidh fhórsaí díchumhachtaithe a choinníonn siad siar ar domhain nach bhfuil cothrom. Tá na mná cróga ag iarraidh saortha fisiciúil, ealaíonta, agus spioradálta. Is iad foréigean, feall, anás, agus imirce cúpla de na téamaí atá sa leabhar.

Tá an t-ádh dearg orainn go mbeidh sí i láthair linn chun píosa as an leabhar iontach a léamh. Ansin beidh sí ag labhairt faoin leabhar agus beidh deis ann ag gach duine ceisteanna a chur uirthi!

Is féidir an leabhar a cheannach ó eabhloid.com muna bhfuil cóip agat cheana féin.

I ndiaidh sin, beidh an Preabghaeltacht ar siúl againn i The Orchard ar 9 i.n. Seo do dheis chun píosa Gaeilge a labhairt agus is cuma cibé caighdeán Gaeilge atá agat - líofa, Gaeilge mheasartha, nó cúpla focal!

Bígí linn! Tá muid ag tnúth go mór libh a fheiceáil!

TONIGHT - The North West Book Club & Pop-Up Gaeltacht

We have plenty going on tonight with two events happening!

The North West Book Club happening first in Donegal County Museum Letterkenny at 7.30pm with the book 'Go mbeinnse Choíche Saor' by Máire Dinny Wren.

The book is based on stories of women who are struggling against the forces of disempowerment that keep them back in the world that is never fair. These brave women are looking for physical, artistic, and spiritual freedom. Violence, betrayal, destitution, and emigration are some of the themes dealt with in the book.

We are very lucky that Máire will be present with us to read a bit of this brilliant book. Then she will be speaking about the book and everyone will then have a chance to ask her questions about it!

You can buy the book from eabhloid.com if you don't already have a copy.

After that, the Pop-Up Gaeltacht will be happening in The Orchard at 9pm. This is your chance to speak a bit of Irish and it doesn't matter whatever standard of Irish you have - fluent, good Irish, or even just a few words!

Join us! We're really looking forward to seeing you!
