Podchraoltaí Gaeilge!

Tá borradh nach beag tagtha ar dhomhan na bpodchraoltaí le blianta beaga anuas. Cé go bhfuil na mílte ann áfach agus iad ag teacht amach go laethúil, in amanna, bíonn sé deacair teacht ar phodchraoltaí suimiúla trí mheán na Gaeilge. Ach anois, a bhuí le Glór na nGael, tá sraith podchraoltaí nua curtha le chéile chun freastal ar riachtanais phobal na Gaeilge!

Tá 14 podchraoladh úrnua déanta ag an eagraíocht - 9 gcinn dírithe ar ghrúpaí pobail, choistí pobail agus chlubanna CLG, 4 cinn dírithe ar thuismitheoirí agus ar chaomhnóirí go príomha, agus podchraoladh amháin eile a dhíríonn ar an dátheangachas. Maireann gach ceann 30 bomaite, agus clúdaítear réimse leathan spéiseanna is ábhar.

Mar shampla, sa chuid dírithe ar ghrúpaí pobail, tá idir bhainistiú acmhainní is ama, mhargaíocht, shábháilteacht, chumarsáid agus phleanáil teanga á bplé acu. Déanann siad cur síos ar na treoirlínte is tábhachtaí chun grúpa nó coiste éifeachtach a stiúradh, agus pléann siad scileanna inaistrithe a bhaineann le hearcaíocht agus scileanna agallamh fostaíochta - comhairle atá luachmhar más fostóir nó iarratasóir thú.

Ar an lámh eile, má éisteann tú leis an chuid den tsraith dírithe ar an teaghlach, gheobhaidh tú amach cad é mar is féidir leat Gaeilge a chur i gcroílár do shaoil sa bhaile agus conas líonra teaghlaigh a bhunú. Foghlaimeoidh tú nathanna cainte agus frásaí úsáideacha, agus iad uilig ó Ghaeltachtaí éagsúla timpeall na hÉireann - tig leat canúint a roghnú agus éisteacht leis na frásaí atá in úsáid i nGaeltacht Thír Chonaill, i nGaeltacht Conamara, nó i nGaeltachtaí na Mumhan.

Agus, tá podchraoladh amháin eile ar fáil sa tsraith seo, podchraoladh an-suimiúil i mBéarla a bhaineann le tábhacht an dátheangachais go ginearálta.

Ach b’fhéidir an rud is luachmhara faoin tsraith seo ná an t-eolas cuimsitheach atá ag na haíonna speisialta agus na saineolaithe a bhíonn ar na cláir, toisc go dtarraingíonn siad an lucht éisteachta isteach lena scéalta agus lena dtaithí phearsanta agus iad ag obair sna hearnálacha seo.

Má tá baint agat le grúpa pobail, cumann CLG, nó má tá ag iarraidh clann a thógáil le Gaeilge, nó fiú más maith leat d’eolas a leathnú go ginearálta, is fiú go mór éisteacht leis an tsraith seo. Tá na podchraoltaí uilig ar fáil ó chuntas Ghlór na nGael ar an ardán Soundcloud, nó is féidir leat na naisc thíos a leanúint.

The world of podcasts has undergone quite a significant transformation in recent years. Although thousands of these podcasts come out each day, it is rather difficult to find interesting ones in Irish. But now, thanks to Glór na nGael, a new series of podcasts has been released to meet the needs of the Irish-speaking population!

14 new podcasts have been released by the organisation - 9 of those aimed at community groups, societies and GAA clubs, 4 others for parents or guardians, and one additional podcast which focuses on bilingualism. Each episode lasts 30 minutes, and covers a wide range of topics and interests.

For example, in the section aimed at community groups, everything from managing resources, time management, marketing, safety, communication and language planning is discussed. They detail the most important guidelines to follow when trying to effectively direct a group or committee, and discuss the transferable skills associated with recruitment and interviewing - advice which is valuable whether you're an employer or an applicant.

On the other hand, if you listen to the episodes aimed at families, you can find out how to integrate Irish into the heart of your home-life, and how to establish family networks. You will also learn idioms and useful phrases from various Gaeltachts across Ireland - you can choose your preferred dialect and listen to the common phrases from the Donegal Gaeltacht, the Conamara Gaeltacht or the Munster Gaeltachts.

And there is also one other podcast available in this series which talks about the importance of bilingualism generally, and it is through English.

But perhaps the most impressive part of this series is the wealth of knowledge that the special guests and experts featured on the episodes have, as they effectively entice the listeners in by sharing their stories and personal experiences from working in these sectors.

If you are associated with a community group or GAA club, if you want to raise your family with Irish, or if you would just like to broaden you knowledge more generally, this series is definitely worth a listen. All the podcasts can be found under Glór na nGael on Soundcloud, or you can alternatively follow the below links.
